Emily Lowe is a writer and editor based in Brooklyn. She is at work on a novel about obsession and a short story collection that circles queerness, folklore, and the ocean.

She currently serves as an editor for serialized literary magazine The Rejoinder and worked for two years as fiction editor for the esteemed literary magazine Ecotone which received the AWP Small Press Publishing Award during her tenure.

Her prose and poetry have appeared or are forthcoming in The Normal School, Chicago Review, River Teeth, and elsewhere. She attended the Tin House Writers workshop in January, 2021.

She holds an M.F.A in Nonfiction from the University of North Carolina Wilmington where she was the 2019-2020 Philip Gerard Fellow and worked as a teaching fellow for six semesters.
